Cattle trade is the main commerce that goes on here. Around 50,000 camels come here. The camels are washed, cleaned, bedecked and some camels are shorn interestingly. Several stalls in the fair sell jewelry and finery for the camels. The camel decoration is no less than a ritual in Pushkar Fair. Wearing jewelry of beads and silver the splendid camels take part in different sports. The nose of the camel is pierced, this is an interesting ritual.
