One of the major factor that has helped to make Pushkar such an important tourist destination in the country is the climate of Pushkar. Being a part of Rajasthan, the climate of Pushkar has the same extreme climatic quality. Pushkar is located on the eastern side of Rajasthan and enjoys a typical type of climate. During the summer season, the maximum temperature in Pushkar is close to a maximum of 45ºC and during the winter days, temperature falls to -8ºC. The rainy season is from the month of July to mid September and is very humid.

Owing to the fluctuating climate of Pushkar, the best time to visit Pushkar is from the month of October to December. The typical desert type climatic features can all be seen in the Pushkar climate, the nights are cool and the days are very hot. In the evenings, temperature falls drastically and in nights, Pushkar climate gets chilling. Even during the summer days, the nights are cool. Rainfall is generally low and even during the monsoon months, there are scarce rainfall.
Since, the winter months are the best time to visit Pushkar, all the festivals are organized during this time of the year. The famous Pushkar fair is held during the months of November to March. Tourists during their stay at Pushkar festivals experience a pleasant time. In these months, maximum number of tourists come to Pushkar and the whole city dawns a new look, with the mixed crowd. Various kind of tourists come to Pushkar, from all the corners of the country and also from other countries. This makes the place have a universal look. Thus, a visit to Pushkar is like an experience and the tourists always look forward to it.
